Your Capresso coffee maker has a built in filter for taking sediment, chlorine, and anything else that might change the flavor or health of the water out before you make coffee, but like all good things, it comes to an end. Over time, your filter clogs up, and all of those bad things go back into your coffee. For that reason, it's essential to swap it out for a new charcoal filter every few months to keep your water as fresh as your coffee beans.
