When it comes to air filters for your small engines, you can't ignore them and hope they'll just keep working. As your mower runs, it's kicking up dust and fine shreds of plant matter. This all gets sucked into the intake of your engine where it gets trapped by the air filter. Without you there to change it, air flow is going to go down and your mower's engine is going to start struggling. Swap out your engine's air filter at least once per season for maximum efficiency.
